SAN FRANCISCO, Jan. 22 (Xinhua) -- U.S. Boeing company said Monday that it will attend this year's Singapore Airshow scheduled for the next month, with an eye on more promising growth prospects in the Asia-Pacific region.

Boeing Defense, Space and Security will have a robust line-up of Boeing and customer products on static display at the show, including its newest models of 787 and 777X passenger airplanes, the world's leading aerospace manufacturer said in a statement.

Its defense products, such as the F-15SG multi-role fighter, and the CH-47 Chinook and AH-64 Apache helicopters, currently in active service in the Singaporean Air Force, will be put on display at the Singapore Airshow, which is the largest aerospace and defense show in Asia, to be running from Feb. 6 to Feb. 11, Boeing said.

Apart from that, it said it will showcase a wide range of products and services at the Singapore Airshow, including the P-8A Poseidon anti-submarine jets and the F/A-18 Super Hornet fighters to be exhibited by the U.S. Department of Defense, along with unmanned aircraft systems.

Boeing will also bring to Singapore the Insitu ScanEagle, and the Wave Glider, an ocean surface robot with seabed-to-space autonomous capabilities from Liquid Robotics.

"Singapore is a global aviation hub and the headquarters for our Southeast Asia operations, where we have enjoyed 70 years of presence and partnership," said Skip Boyce, president of Boeing Southeast Asia.

For the first time, Boeing will debut its newest business unit, Boeing Global Services that was established in 2017, at the upcoming airshow to vie for greater growth prospects in the Asia-Pacific region.

The Asia-Pacific is an important growth market for the services business with a strong emphasis on engineering, modifications, upgrades, maintenance, Boeing AnalytX, digital services and training, Boeing said.

Boeing has set up the Training and Professional Services campus in Changi, the aviation hub in Singapore, where the country's Changi Airport and Changi Air Base are located.

Singapore is Boeing's largest pilot, technician and crew training facility in Asia.
